Persistent Organic Pollutants Testing
Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) are toxic chemicals that pose significant risks to human health and the environment. To address these threats, the global Stockholm Convention on POPs was adopted on May 22, 2001. As a signatory, the European Union enforces compliance through Regulation (EC) No. 850/2004, later updated to Regulation (EU) 2019/1021, effective July 15, 2019. These regulations mandate strict limits on POPs in materials and products placed on the EU market.
